WorkSpace Safety 101 Workshop

  • by

Date(s) - Thursday, Jan 19th

Ottawa Tool Library

Want to learn how to handle power tools safely? Come and spend an evening in our WorkSpace to learn new skills.

You will receive training on the safe usage of the following tools: band saw, mitre saw, drill press, and drill. You will have ample time to try out each tool and end up making a small cutting board.

This is also a required course for anyone who wants to use the above tools in our WorkSpace.

You can still take this course if you’re under 18 years of age, just contact us, so we can send you the proper waiver beforehand.

Every workshop attendee gets one free day access pass to our WorkSpace. Pass needs to be used within one month of this workshop.

All course participants need to be fully vaccinated and show proof at the beginning of workshop.

Mask wearing is mandatory in our WorkSpace as all participants will be in an enclosed space at close range.

Please dress appropriately for working in a woodshop: closed-toe shoes, hair tied in the back, and no loose clothing.

For more information on our WorkSpace and when you can use it to work on your projects, check out our webpage.

Workshops are transferable to another person, but non-refundable. Please make sure this date works with your schedule.

You will be making this kind of cutting board during the workshop while building skills on power tools.
