The Tinkering School of the Ottawa Tool Library is offering a one day camp for children (9 -13 years) to learn wood working and other DIY skills by making their own gum ball machine.
Camp runs from 9 am – 3 pm.
Students will learn the basics of woodworking as they make their very own gumball dispenser. They will learn to safely use power tools such as the bandsaw, mitre saw and drill press under direct supervision, practice math skills for measuring and marking, and most importantly have fun!
Our instructor brings a vast experience in teaching children and will always focus on safety in the WorkSpace and with each other.
Space is limited to eight (8) participants with an instructor and assistant.
If you’re not a member of the Ottawa Tool Library, check out the benefits that come with a membership here. Psst, you’d get 20% off for this day camp.
Note:
The OTL Tinkering School is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable learning experience for all.
