Join Heather from Re4m Design and Fabrication in a DIY workshop! She will guide you through the process of building your own eco-planter box.

This workshop is all about sustainability and the wood used has been sourced or rescued from local, responsible sources. We’ll provide you with all the tools you need and our experienced instructors will be on hand to offer advice and guidance throughout. You’ll get the chance to learn some basic woodworking skills and leave with a beautiful, functional planter box that’s perfect for growing your own herbs, flowers, or vegetables. We can’t wait to see what you create!

The built dimensions of the planter box are 26″x9.5″x6″ which will fit inserts of 24″x6.5″x7.5″ (bought separately).

Instructor:

Heather is an innovative industrial designer and entrepreneur making strides in Ottawa’s sustainable design sector. She is a maker, problem solver and the creator of Re4m Design andFabrication, a company that designs and builds furnishings, fixtures and displays using recycled and reclaimed materials. Heather’s unique skills and keen eye have gained her recognition in the Ottawa Sun, Ottawa Matters and a recipient of the 2019 OBJ Small businessAward for manufacturing, and the 2021 BMO Women in Sustainability Award.

Workshops are transferable to another person and only refundable if we have people on the waiting list. Please make sure this date works with your schedule.
