Learn the quiet joy of working with leather while making a small wallet.

This workshop is an introduction to working with vegetable tanned leather.

Create a simple but elegant credit card holder out of 2mm thick leather. Learn how to layout, cut, and hand stitch leather. Skive and burnish the leather edges and take home your new wallet.

Our instructor, Chris G. is an industrial designer/woodworker and vintage tool collector who decided, years ago, that he needed leather sheaths to protect edge tools. His workshop is in an unheated garage so in the winter he likes to work with leather in his basement shop. Leather work doesn’t create dust and no large machines are required.

Note:

Workshops are transferable to another person and only refundable if we have people on the waiting list who can take your spot. Please make sure this date works with your schedule.
