Learn the safe use of a lathe and its carving tools.

Always wondered how to work a lathe? What you can create on it? Which tools to use?

Then this workshop is for you.

Topics covered include: safety, lathes, mounting wood on a lathe, as well as various tools and their use.

You will try your hand at on spindle turning to produce a spurtle: a wooden Scottish tool used to stir porridge and soups.

Our instructor, Duncan, is a retired wood working teacher with several decades fo turning experience.

There are only two (2) tickets to insure personal attention to each learner. Each participant will have a lathe to work on.
