Learn all about the common tools that make up a useful Tool Box, and have the chance to try them out in this 2 hour hands-on workshop.

Every home needs a well-stocked toolbox filled with versatile tools that can tackle everyday jobs. In this hands-on class, we’ll introduce the essential tools for home maintenance and show you how to use them safely and confidently.

From hanging a picture, to replacing a light switch cover, driving loose nails, or swapping out cabinet handles, you’ll discover just how many jobs a few tools can handle. You’ll learn what to look for when choosing new or used tools and practice with a variety of hammers, screwdrivers, saws, drills, and more. Leave with the confidence to take on common household tasks — and a clear picture of what belongs in your own toolbox.

At the end of this class, students will have the option to purchase used tools at a 10% discount from the Tool Library Web Store that have been purposefully set aside for them. This workshop is part of our ongoing DIY Home Maintenance Workshop Series. Students can build their own Tool Box in our Make a Tool Box class, but it is not a requirement.

Note:

Workshops are transferable to another person and only refundable if we have people on the waiting list who can take your spot. Please make sure this date works with your schedule.
