Do you want to compost but live in an apartment without a green bin service? Curious to learn how to build things with your own hands?

If so, then come join us at the Ottawa Tool Library (OTL) for a hands-on workshop to build a Worm Studio. It will be led by Akil, from The Box Of Life and Bob, tool ninja extraordinaire at OTL.

During the workshop, you will learn the basics of vermicomposting and will build your own Worm Studio using cedar wood. Composting with worms is easy, free of smells and pests, and we’ll show you how it works.

We will cut the wood to size and assemble everything (which will involve lots of drilling. Akil will give a demo on the set up of the Worm Studios along with information on feeding, maintenance, troubleshooting, and finally harvesting your finished vermicompost.

You can build a better future, literally, and we will provide you with the tools, and guidance.

Worms can be purchased the day of the workshop.

Happy participants with their hand built Worm Studios.
