This workshop teaches the safe handling of the big power tools and you will learn how to set them up for your own usage and work project. The instructor will give detailed explanations of how to safely use the jointer, planer, table saw, and router table. Participants will use their newfound knowledge to cut pieces on the table saw.
If you’re under 18 years, you must be accompanied by an adult. Contact us beforehand via email (info@ottawatoollibrary.com) to aquire approval.
Every workshop attendee gets a free day pass to our WorkSpace (value $20). Pass needs to be used within one month of this workshop.
Please dress appropriately for working in a woodshop: closed-toe shoes, hair tied in the back, and no loose clothing. It’s important to be on time for this workshop as this is a safety course and all information is important. Late arrivals may not be able to join.
