Let your kid spend PD Day in a supportive learning environment at the Ottawa Tool Library (OTL) in January. We have a low child to instructor ratio (6:1) and focus on environmental education and developing tool skills.
This time, we’re focusing on sewing. We’ll design and make the perfect aprons to wear for your kid’s favourite activities! Kids will learn basic hand and machine sewing techniques that will serve them their whole lives by transforming recycled fabric and clothing into something brand new!
PD Day Camps are open to kids 8-12 years old and run from 9 am – 3 pm. We can accommodate early drop off at 8:30 am and late pick up until 3:30 pm, please contact us if this is something you need.
What to wear and bring:
- Closed-toed shoes
- Fitted clothing that’s ok to get messy
- A packed lunch and snacks
- Water bottle
Space is limited, so be sure register as soon as possible!
We will offer PD Day workshops every PD day, so please sign up to our newsletter and/or follow us on social media to be the first know what we offer.

Before selecting and signing up for a workshop please be sure that your child understands that the activities will require their attention and maturity. We are working with tools that must be used carefully to ensure everyone’s safety. If you have any questions, please be sure to contact us.
