OTL Tinkering School PD Day Camp for 9-`12 yr olds: February 13

We’re offering a 1-day workshop for children (9-12 year olds) to learn basic woodworking skills by building a nesting box. Camp runs from 9am – 3pm.
The nesting box will be unfinished at the end of the class which is a great opportunity for your kid(s) to decorate it to their heart’s content at home.
Your kid(s) will learn to safely use woodworking hand tools to build a simple Nesting Box designed by Cornell Lab Nest Watch. This will make a great addition to any backyard and your kid(s) will leave with a sense of pride, accomplishment, and the knowledge to continue building.
Our Instructor, Evan Blackburn, is an experienced teacher that focuses on early learning skills development, and being safe and responsible in the shop.
Space is limited to eight (8) participants. The workshop will be taught by one instructor and an assistant.
If you’re not a member of the Ottawa Tool Library, check out the benefits that come with a membership here. Please note that we’re extending a 10% discount to our OTL annual membership holders.
